What does Ár mean?

According to the Swedish place name lexicon, the name Åre (1344 (De) Arum) probably contains Old West Nordic "ár", "tip", referring to the shape on the top of Åreskutan.



What is BCAA?

BCAA - (branched-chain amino acids) Protein consists of twenty amino acids, nine of which are essential. This means that we cannot manufacture them ourselves, but they must be supplied via the diet. Only the essential amino acids have been shown to increase muscle growth after exercise. Three of the essential amino acids belong to the group of branched-chain amino acids (BCAA) - leucine, isoleusine and valine. Of these, leucine is mainly attributed the greatest effect on muscle synthesis. The branched chain amino acids are metabolized in the muscles and are thus important for muscle metabolism. There is also a theory that the addition of BCCA would increase endurance during exercise. This is because the branched-chain amino acids sink into the bloodstream during exercise and compete with the amino acid tryptophan for the blood-brain barrier. Tryptophan is then converted to serotonin, which is thought to increase mental fatigue. Thus, with increased levels of BCAAs in the blood, fatigue could be reduced and performance improved.

Ár Natural is a climate-neutral functional drink with taste and color from natural fruits and berries that contains vitamins and minerals, natural fruit sugar (Fructose) and caffeine. Produced from Natural Mineral Water from the Åre source.



How much BCAA is included in Ár BCAA and what distribution?

Year BCAAs contain a total of 3000 mg in the ratio 4: 1: 1. 2000 mg leucine, 500 mg isoleucine and 500 mg valine.



Where is Ár functional manufactured?

All products are manufactured in the factory in Ullån, Åre.



Are Ár functional products vegan?

Yes, all Ár functional products are vegan.



Who is advised not to consume Ár functional products?

Children, pregnant women, nursing mothers or people sensitive to caffeine are advised not to consume Ár functional products.



How much caffeine does Ár functionalals products contain?

One bottle (500 ml) of Ár BCAA or Ár Natural contains 180 grams of caffeine. This corresponds to the same amount of caffeine as in 2 cups of coffee.



How many bottles of Ár functional products can you consume per day?

Ár functional products contain caffeine 180 mg per 500 ml (= one bottle), which corresponds to the amount of caffeine in 2 cups of coffee. We therefore recommend a consumption of a maximum of 2 bottles per day.



When to drink Ár functional products?

It is possible to drink Ár functional products both before, during and after training. Ár BCAA contains free amino acids that are absorbed directly by the body and Ár Natural is sweetened with fruit sugar (fructose) which is quickly converted to good energy and does not contribute to the release of insulin.



What vitamins and or minerals are in Ár functional products?

Both Ár BCAA and Ár Natural contain the following vitamins: Vitamin D, B6, B12, Biotin and Niacin. Ár Natural is also enriched with these minerals: Magnesium and Zinc.



Are there any additives in Ár functional's products?

Ár Natural contains natural fruit sugar (Fructose) as well as natural taste and color from fruits and berries. In these drinks we have added preservatives (Potassium sorbate) to guarantee the quality of the product's content. All products (Ár BCAA and Ár Natural) have added acidity regulators (citric acid) to keep a low PH value.



Do you need to add extra vitamin and mineral supplements in addition to the food?

When we eat a balanced diet rich in vegetables, fruits and berries, we get the nutrients we need. Sometimes, during certain periods, seasons, you can supplement your diet with certain vitamins and minerals. Vitamin D during the winter months in the absence of sunlight in the Nordic countries, folic acid for women during childbirth or for vegans and or elderly people vitamin B12. Ár functional products provide a good supplement of various vitamins and minerals, and contain other substances such as caffeine that can give you extra sharpness and increase concentration. We all recommend a varied diet with vegetables, fruits and berries. It is always the basis for a well-being, healthy and wholesome life.
